Installation order: Apply the two included heat dissipating pads to both sides of the SSD. Insert the SSD into the adapter with the standoff spacer between the SSD and adapter. Insert the screw through the SSD and spacer into the adapter. Install the assembled adapter into an available PCIe slot
After installation: New SSDs may need to be initialized, formatted, and assigned a drive letter in Disk Management before appearing as a usable drive. Boot drive use requires motherboard BIOS or UEFI support for PCIe NVMe boot
